About Run DMC
Queens buddies Joseph DJ Run Simmons, Darryl DMC McDaniels and third group member Jason Jam-Master Jay Mizell founded Run DMC in the early 80s and led the band, and hip hop as a whole, to mainstream success in the following years. Run DMC sang a cover of Walk This Way with Boston rockers Aerosmith, and had the entire music industry following their steps.
